Recipes for Cookies (cookie swap)
Yesterday, a group of us got together for a Coffee and Cookie Swap. Haven't done that in years. So thought some of you might like to do via the computer. I put the recipe of one of the ones I took yesterday to the swap, and maybe some of you would like to share one of your favs with us. Yesterday I brought home some never tried before. So know next Christmas will be trying some new ones.
1 1/4 cup all purpose flour
1//4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup raisins
1 cup chopped walnuts
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare greased cookie sheets.
In a medium sized bowl, stir together (flour, salt and baking soda0.
In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add vanilla and eggs.Mix. Stir in flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips, raisins, and walnuts.
Drop about 2 inchs apart, onto prepared cookie sheets, using 2 tbs of the batter.
Bake for 12 minutes or until golden brown.
Remove cookies to a wire rack to cool.
Yields: 36 cookies
**I store mine in a ziploc bag, they stay softer this way.
