Thumbs up List of Tax Free Weekends by State for 2010

http://www.mamacheaps.com/2010/07/li...-for-2010.html

Great info and I'm happy if your state is participating. The blog write up suggests you can save $ by travelling to another states taxfree event. Make sure that your state would be ok with that. NJ has a specific line on the tax form where we are expected to pony up tax due on out of state/internet/catalog type purchases. The bottom line we are to pay whatever taxrate NJ has set regardless where we purchase items. If that rate is paid to another state, NJ will sigh and not pursue. If we pay less than the NJ rate, we are expected to pay the difference. NJ does not care what other states consider taxfree - it has to be taxfree here for us not to owe salestax. And yes - they have many resources to track our purchases. The bigger the purchase/savings, the more likely it will be picked up.

Take advantage of Tax Free weekends next month- whether you have some big purchases to make for your college student or your home, it can really save you some money.

Here is a list of the states that have confirmed their participation so far, and the specific dates for each:
