We used to use Folgers Half Cafe for years before we got the K-Cup maker... I don't think that is available in K-Cups yet, but I have a year of free Starbucks coffee for now anyway.

Right... Mr. Starbuck --- and maybe I need to find sweeps that offer the cups as a prize! I did enter that one - and am glad you were one of the lucky winners!

Used to find good online sales for Kcups. Then 'good' prices were either the instant coffee version of Kcups (that they never bother to mention) or the kcups were at or even beyond expiration date.

ps - I'm finding Half caf/Green Mtn in one of our grocery stores. Kcups are getting more shelf space with more variety/brands. Each store has a slightly different offering. Also Green Mtn is putting out more coupons that covers some of the other brands. 8o'clock has a version of Kcups and needs to put out another round of coupons; Shoprite (a northeast chain) has their own store line of Kcups but they are pricy for a store brand. Stores will put them on sale down to 5 to 6/12 ct box. The winner is finding $1 to 3 coupons to go with those sale prices.

Betty, we are also seeing a lot more K-Cup selections at Publix, especially Green Mountain products. That stands to reason a little bit due to the fact that Keurig is a wholly owned subsidiary of Green Mountain...

Keurig came out with the Vue - which has a flared, slightly bigger Kcup. I'm not seeing any of those cups in the groceries. Maybe no one bought into upgrading with the new machine

Betty, I have not looked for the Vue cups at Publix, but I did see them at Target while looking for Starbucks K-Cups.. at this point we have no intention of changing.

My son has a machine by another mfg... Bosch (I think) that uses vue and the ones that have to have bar codes on them.... they are looking to switch to something more popular and less expensive!

PS that stinks they would be instant or expired on a nice sale price.

We actually use ours more for hot water to make tea. We used the Kcups when I was working night shift; I only wanted 1 or 2 cups, and didn't want to make a full pot. Once we found a brand we liked best (Green Mountain Vermont country blend) we enjoyed the flavor much more. Definitely try different varieties - some were too weak or strong.
