Angry TARGET Major Hack

If you haven't heard by now.... they hacked Target...

If you shopped there (physically in the store) with or without a target card starting the day before Thanksgiving and extending at least to Dec. 15, your account could be compromised.

Everyone with a DEBIT card should get their card changed.... because while with credit cards you MIGHT be able to dispute the charge, etc. it's terribly hard to retrieve money of yours that is already gone with a debit card.

SO banks are advising anyone who shopped at TARGET to change their credit or debit card --- to avoid any issues.

They aren't saying it's a inside job, but they got every single swipe from every single register in the target system. Including your card codes, etc.

Thank goodness Target is one I shop at very seldom. Not in that time frame. Feel really bad for those that did. What a mess right here at the hoildays.

I did.... and so I closed my debit card down this AM and my account once checked was fine... so now I have to get a new one at the bank today.

Better safe than sorry!!!

Plus just this month had to deal with my VISA having 2 charges that weren't mine.... and by the way my "new cards" that likely got used, never did arrive as they said they would. So my guess is that is how they were able to put those charges on the card. Requested brand new numbers --- and fingers crossed, hoping this will solve my issues for now.
